Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Research shows people who eat breakfast are more successful in losing weight and keeping it off. Here’s a wonderful tasting easy shake whether you want to lose weight or not.
People who drink this shake say they have more energy, feel clearer and more focused, are not hungry for hours and crave way less sugar later in the day. Wouldn’t you like for this to be true for you too? It’s great for breakfast, but is delicious any time!
1 cup almond milk, original flavor (can also use hemp or soy milk, unsweetened is better)
½ cup water
1-1/2 scoops protein powder (Designer Whey, Vanilla, available at Trader Joe’s or online)
1 tsp to 1 Tb Flax Oil
1 rounded tsp almond butter, unsweetened
½ cup frozen fruit, unsweetened, available at TJ. Use berries
½ cup frozen peas (for added fiber, good idea, can be optional)
Put all ingredients into blender and blend until smooth. Makes about 2 cups. Great for breakfast!

1 1/2 cup coconut milk
1 – 2 TB coconut cream (available in a can at Trader Joe’s)
1 scoop protein powder (Designer Whey, Vanilla, available at Trader Joe’s or 365 Vanilla Whey from Whole Foods)
¾ cup frozen berries (another option is 6 dried figs)
1 TB cocoa powder (Can use fruit AND cocoa or one or the other)
1 TB chia seeds
Put all ingredients into blender and blend until smooth. Makes enough for two. Enjoy!

Add to blender:
2 handfuls spinach leaves
2 c water
1-1/2 banana
½ apple
1/3 avocado
6 frozen strawberries
4 ice cubes
Blend on low to get started, then blend at high speed until mixture is smooth, about 1-2 minutes.
Makes about 1 quart
